In the novel, Thenardier is implied to try & pimp Eponine once. So the musical version is relatively nicer

I think this is the best version ever, because her emotion comes through the strongest, and her voice is so perfectly “real”for her youthful and fragile character. And her voice has such an attractive appealing femininity to it. Other versions are beautiful, too, but sound too adult mature, contradicting Eponine’s child-like vulnerable character. So this is my favorite version by far!

I saw this musical on a school trip when I was a preteen boy. I thought everyone looked so ridiculous in furry spandex and had no appreciation for the weird music. I would’ve loved to see this when I developed better taste. Webber’s music kicks ass
